Shady Grove Flowers

At Shady Grove Flowers, each arrangement we make is a personal gesture, relaying messages through the powerful language of flowers and plants. We are often part of emotionally charged and sensitive times in life, such as birth, death, love, marriage, friendship and apologies, and we feel lucky to be able to act as a trusted liaison (or “flora-pist”, as we like to say) to our clients, their friends, families and loved ones. Respect and understanding are the heart and soul of our establishment.

Located at 65 N Lexington Ave, Asheville, NC 28801, Shady Grove Flowers operates as a florist serving Asheville in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Florists in the United States range from neighborhood flower shops with a walk-in cooler to studio designers who work only by appointment for weddings and events. Most retail florists build arrangements to order, deliver the same day when you call before early afternoon, and belong to a wire network (FTD, Teleflora or BloomNet) that passes out-of-town orders to a local shop. Ordering from the shop directly rather than through a national website usually means more flowers for the money, because no order-gatherer takes a cut. Flower markets and wholesalers sell loose stems and bunches, often early in the morning, and many now open to the public. Flower farms grow seasonal blooms such as dahlias, peonies and sunflowers and sell by the bucket, by subscription or as pick-your-own.

Hours are published for 1 day a week. On most of those days it is open 12–6 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (828) 236-1713. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, shadygroveflowers.com.

Asheville is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Asheville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.
